Summary of Job Duties:
The Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Innovation (SEVI) Department in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a non-tenure track Instructor position beginning August 11, 2025. An Instructor is expected to teach eight courses per year with a mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed, normally with no more than two course preparations per semester. The teaching assignment will emphasize a “Business Foundations” or “Strategic Management” course, but will also include other undergraduate courses as needed, or expertise allows.Regular on-campus availability, in-person teaching, and active contribution to the life of the department, including exhibiting respect and cooperation in shared academic and administrative tasks are essential duties.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in business or a business-related field
Relevant industry experience
Commitment to working with diverse populations
Willingness to learn and develop competency in classroom technology
Willingness to teach within coordinated course environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Prior teaching experience in higher education or a College of Business setting, including online classes
Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and significant creation of instructional materials or methods
Prior experience with Blackboard course management systems, Turning Point Clickers, and video conferencing
Experience creating online content, including familiarity with video production software
5 years or more of practical experience
