Summary of Job Duties:
The Postdoctoral Research Scholar key responsibilities include designing and conducting studies, managing and analyzing data, collaborating with team members, supervising research assistants, disseminating research findings, and supporting grant writing efforts. Additionally, the scholar will initiate and complete an independent research project and engage in training opportunities.This position will work on the multi-site NIH-funded PACE project titled "A Stage 1 Pilot Test for Feasibility and Efficacy of a Multi-Level Intervention To Increase Physical Activity in Adults with Intellectual Disability: Step it Up +".
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Exercise Science or related field (e.g., Health Behavior, Physical Therapy, Physiology, Public Health) conferred by the start of employment from an accredited institution of higher education
Demonstrated potential to publish in high quality journals
Previous experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and/or other developmental disabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with accelerometry
Previous experience with adapted behavior, cognition, and motor assessments
