Summary of Job Duties:
The Distance Education Compliance Manager will provide program management for compliance. The incumbent oversees compliance to support proposed and existing distance education including online credit and non-credit programs. Expand relationships and seek opportunities for partnership and collaboration with other University units and external constituents. Establish and maintain relationships with state higher education personnel across the United States resulting in positive relations and reputation for state regulatory compliance and expertise. Research state, federal, and international laws, rules, and regulations; including but not limited to state authorization, professional licensure, international compliance, and professional licensure regulations. Assesses opportunities and challenges brought on by changes to national, international, and state distance education and licensure requirements. Prepare and submit applications, forms, and reports required by individual counties, states, licensure boards, and national council for state authorization reciprocity agreements in order to obtain and maintain state authorization and/or approval. Serves as the liaison between Global Campus and academic programs for surveys and other reporting.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with distance higher education compliance related to state authorization, professional licensure, and international compliance
Degree in the field of study related to education, administration, political science, or management from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience in higher education administration
Experience organizing and presenting research for decision-making
Experience working with non-traditional off-campus or online programs and students
Experience preparing complex forms or reports synthesizing information and data from multiple sources
Experience making analytical judgments and recommendations based on available evidence
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of higher education administration governance, systems and structures
Knowledge of state, federal, international, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to distance education
Strong analytical skills; ability to use research, data, and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, and drive actions
Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate recommendations
Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic units
Ability to present findings in written and oral presentation
Ability to create and maintain detailed and complex documentation
