Summary of Job Duties:
The eProcurement Manager will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and optimization of our electronic procurement systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, knowledge of eProcurement technologies, and a proven ability to drive efficiency and cost savings through strategic procurement initiatives. Other responsibilities will include: Work collaboratively with the Director of eProcurement to develop and implement electronic procurement strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the University’s goals and objectives.Manage day-to-day operations of the eProcurement functions, including overseeing the eProcurement Team’s activities, credit card and fuel card management, compliance, review of credit card transaction files, and all communication with the banking partners. Provide guidance and support to the campus community regarding eProcurement Policy and Procedures, Arkansas State Laws, and the utilization of eProcurement tools and systems, including training and troubleshooting as needed. Ensure timely processing of credit card and fuel card transactions, and monthly settlements for credit card and fuel card statements. Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to identify areas for process enhancement and lead the implementation and enhancement of eProcurement processes for increased organizational efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of eProcurement initiatives and identify areas for improvement. Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for process optimization. -Develop and maintain relationships with departments and key administrators, negotiating and ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures and Arkansas State Law. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in eProcurement technology, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty along with creating and maintaining a collegial, harmonious working relationship with staff, suppliers, and campus community.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered
At least 2 years of experience in purchasing or related field
At least 3 years in a supervisory role, with proven leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least five years of experience in Higher Education procurement
Working experience with and knowledge of Bank of America Card Administration System
Familiarity with ERP applications, i.e., Workday
Demonstrated customer service skills
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of state and agency/institution procurement laws and procedures
Knowledge of generally accepted best practices for purchasing
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to interpret procurement laws and regulations to administrative officials and outside entities
Ability to resolve problems between departments and suppliers
Ability to supervise, plan, organize, and direct the work of eProcurement staff
Ability to provide training to campus personnel
Ability to take initiative and solve problems
Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus
