Summary of Job Duties:

Will work under general supervision and is responsible for the gift processing and University billing processing of the UAFS Foundation and general data entry for UAFS Foundation financial operations. The position is governed by generally accepted accounting principles and procedures and institutional policies. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Foundation Finance and Operations.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Work Experience: High School Diploma, and 6 months experience.

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Experience working with Blackbaud Financial Edge and Raisers Edge, accounting, banking, data-entry, and/or cashiering.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entering cash receipts daily and corresponding posting to financial system.
  • Responsible for entering requisitions, purchase orders, purchasing cards, etc. related to university expenses to be reimbursed.
  • Keys information into spreadsheets for financial analysis.
  • Helps setup and reconcile funds for special events, including Day of Giving.
  • Assists with the communication and coordination of fund information.
  • Posts and distributes information for Foundation Finance team.

Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with financial spreadsheets and data entry of journal entries.
  • Maintains strong working relationship with faculty and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to

foster teamwork. Regular, reliable, undisruptive attendance is an essential job duty.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the essential functions of this position:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of general information technology concepts and various software
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques
  • Ability to apply knowledge base comprehensively.

Working Relationships: Frequent contact with Advancement personnel, campus personnel, and peers.

Special Job Dimensions: Work is primarily performed in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 10 pounds. Extended hours are rarely required. Routine office hours 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Salary Information:

$28,500/year
