Summary of Job Duties:

The Director of Professional and Workforce Development provides leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of new and existing non-credit programs; supervision of Professional and Workforce Development staff; and management of the daily Global Campus operations in Bentonville.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is located in the Global Campus office in Bentonville. This position is required on-site and is not eligible for remote work.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a discipline related to adult learning, workforce or professional development, community education, curriculum development, or a related field

  • At least five years of related prior experience

  • At least three years of demonstrated effective leadership, management, and supervisory experience

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Demonstrated understanding of University of Arkansas systems, policies, and procedures

  • Knowledge of protocol and meticulous attention to detail when managing interactions and projects with members of academia, business, and government

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and leaders at all levels

  • Demonstrated success in workforce development

  • Experience in grant writing and administration
