Summary of Job Duties:

The MUSiC Facility Business Development position will be primarily responsible for recruitment and customer relationship development. He/she will work with the technical MUSiC team regarding the appropriate services needed for each customer. The position will also collaborate with the business team to ensure proper pricing for the most appropriate services.

This position will support the research intended to develop low volume R&D and prototyping for purposes of advancing the state of the art and compatibility with the needs of industrial advancement in the field.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Travel will be required to various customer sites, government meetings, and technical conferences. Working with the marketing and communications director to fashion print and electronic collateral for various events will be expected.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

  • At least five years experience in semiconductor business ops

  • Maintained a supervisory role and experience with talent development

  • Experience establishing business infrastructure

  • Have multi-disciplinary understanding of semiconductor product development within a semiconductor manufacturing environment

  • Understand general customer needs within the semiconductor industry

  • Able to develop and articulate clear business strategies for advancing customer involvement and success in both the short term and long-term activities of the MUSiC facility

  • Experience developing successful pricing strategies for different market opportunities and engagement models

  • Experience collecting and successfully utilizing market research data

  • Willingness to work closely with the MUSiC technical staff to determine and execute strategic roadmaps and ensure successful customer experiences with MUSiC

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of industry experience in a similar role guiding business development

  • Advanced understanding of the emerging SiC market

  • General understanding of semiconductor processing techniques

  • Working knowledge of the equipment involved in the facility processes and be able to easily discuss the functions of equipment for specific customer needs

  • Working knowledge of how to build a semiconductor program

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
