Summary of Job Duties:

The Evening Shift Operations/Safe Ride Manager is a member of the Razorback Transit Operations Team and oversees the daily operations of the evening shift Bus Operators. This position's responsibilities include scheduling, training, and managing, as well as maintaining all records and reporting statistics on service.

Regular, non-disruptive and reliable attendance is an essential job duty, as well as the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Position subject to shift rotation with other Shift Supervisor positions.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least three years of increasing responsible in transit operations

  • At least one year in a supervisory capacity or in purchasing, storeroom operations, or related area

  • Class B or higher CDL with passenger endorsement


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in Public Transit

  • Experience working with students in a University setting

  • Experience with Scheduling software


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of state and institution rules and regulations concerning acquisition and distribution of goods

  • Knowledge of methods and procedures used in acquiring and distributing supplies and equipment

  • Ability to supervise a subordinate staff

  • Ability to maintain inventory records and compile information into report form

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
    Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software skills

Salary Information:

$40,000 - $48,000 commensurate with education and experience
