Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Director of Member Services is responsible for the membership experience. This includes promotional messaging, experience, and service excellence. It also includes membership fulfillment coordination, membership value support, perks program maintenance, and development. The position is integral to developing messaging associated with membership acquisition and the appeals process.

The Assistant Director of Member Services will work closely with the Alumni Team to promote the Association. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Alumni Services and supervises one student worker.

This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.

Teamwork, flexibility and a positive attitude are essential for working with volunteers and other Association staff members.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least two years of experience in customer service

  • At least one year of experience in program management responsibilities, must include collaborative projects and work within budgets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRM

  • Two years of professional experience in advertising, public relations, or similar

  • Experience with Encompass software

  • Experience in a university or alumni association setting

  • Experience with a non-profit organization

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of AP style

  • Excellence in written and verbal communications

  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize, implement and manage multiple projects and due dates

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of records and information

  • Ability to research, analyze and compile data

  • Ability to be punctual and dependable


Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.


Salary Information:

$45,000
