Summary of Job Duties:

The Occupational Therapist performs diagnostic testing and treatment and consults with staff regarding programming recommendations. The OT supports treatment plan development for patients in outpatient and SNF settings. They evaluate a patient’s condition and needs and develops a treatment plan for patients, laying out the types of activities and specific goals to be accomplished. The OT evaluates a patient’s home or workplace and based on the patient’s health needs identifies potential improvements as well as educating a patient’s family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patients. They asses and keeps accurate records of patient’s activities and progress for patient evaluations, billing and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree, Major in Occupational Therapy plus two years OT experience OR Master’s degree
  • Certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or eligible to apply for the examination.
  • Current Arkansas license or eligible to apply and obtain license within one month of hire.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate to clinic staff, physicians and the public.
  • Must possess good hand-eye coordination and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must have ability to conduct and interpret tests administered to patients.
  • CPR certified within one month of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish-English) preferred
  • Certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or eligible to apply for the examination
  • LSVT BIG certified
