Department of Nursing
The Administrative Specialist III is primarily responsible for supporting the business operations of the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing.
Summary of Job Duties:
The job responsibilities are broken down as follows:
30% - closely works with the College financial department in processing and managing forms and documents;
20% - includes, but is not limited to, maintaining faculty and classified employees records;
20% - manages the director and assistant director’s calendar;
20% - collaborates with program coordinators, faculty, and students;
10% - oversees training of new clerical staff/faculty on office equipment, policies, and procedures.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
At least one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field
At least two years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of administrative office and financial management experience, preferably in a higher education setting
Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced work environment
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Basic knowledge of accounting and finance
Computer competency requiring word-processing, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, SPSS), and database software knowledge and experience
Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports
Ability to research and analyze related work program information
Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others
Ability to navigate Microsoft Office software scheduling.
