Role Summary
The Senior Manager Procurement – Technology is responsible for leading sourcing and contracting activities across the Technology portfolio, delivering strong commercial outcomes while enabling business and IT priorities. This role focuses on execution excellence, disciplined contracting, and trusted stakeholder partnership across enterprise technology needs, including Corporate functions and Supply Chain.
Reporting to the Associate Director Procurement – Technology, this role serves as a primary procurement partner to Technology and business leaders and is accountable for applying consistent sourcing and contracting practices across:
Software licensing (SaaS, on‑prem, subscription, consumption‑based)
Cloud services and hosting
Telecom and network services
Hardware and infrastructure
Technology professional services
The role may include people management responsibilities, depending on portfolio, scope, and future team structure.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Sourcing & Contracting Execution
Lead end‑to‑end sourcing and contracting activities for assigned Technology categories.
Execute sourcing events, negotiations, and renewals to meet aggressive timelines while maintaining consistent commercial and contractual standards.
Negotiate and redline commercial terms, including pricing models, service levels, renewal protections, and contractual risk provisions.
Ensure agreements comply with company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Apply repeatable sourcing and contracting approaches across the Technology vertical that aligns with how other Corporate Services categories operate.
Partner closely with Legal and Risk teams to drive timely and high‑quality contract outcomes.
Stakeholder Partnership
Act as a primary procurement partner to Technology stakeholders, helping teams engage procurement early and navigate sourcing and contracting efficiently.
Balance need for speed and flexibility with appropriate governance and risk management.
Serve as a point of escalation for complex, high‑risk, or time‑sensitive sourcing and contracting matters.
Process Consistency & Governance
Reinforce consistent procurement processes across Technology that align with broader Corporate Services standards.
Ensure sourcing documentation, approvals, and contracting requirements are followed across all Technology activity.
Support visibility into upcoming renewals and sourcing demand to reduce last‑minute escalations and execution risk.
Contribute to continuous improvement of Technology workflows and stakeholder experience.
People Leadership & Team Support
Provide guidance and support for Category Managers executing Technology sourcing activity.
Coach team members on setting and executing negotiation strategies, commercial term redlining, and stakeholder engagement as needed.
Help prioritize work and remove blockers during peak workload periods.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Strong understanding of technology sourcing models, including software licensing, cloud, telecom, and professional services.
7+ years of Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management experience, with direct experience supporting Technology spend.
Demonstrated ability to review, negotiate, and redline commercial contract terms in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with Source‑to‑Pay and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools preferred
Strong proficiency in analytical tools (spreadsheets, cost models, savings tracking)
Ability to apply consistent procurement processes across a diverse Technology portfolio
Effective communicator able to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
Proven negotiation and contract management experience with complex service‑based suppliers.
Proven experience partnering cross‑functionally
