Summary
Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in supporting Sales Account Managers with large volume retail service accounts of beef and pork. This position offers a variety of responsibilities, ensuring that no two days are the same. You'll be at the heart of our operations, helping to maintain our high standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Enter and process all types of customer orders accurately.
- Price Management: Enter and maintain price lists.
- Customer Communication: Check and confirm order fill and changes with customers.
- Customized Processes: Accurately maintain customized customer process lists.
- Delivery Tracking: Track deliveries by working with our customer service department and relay pertinent information.
- Reporting: Aid in completing various management performance reports (fill-rates, on-time delivery, volume, broker performance) and forms (sample requests, new-item forms, customer complaint forms).
- Customer Interaction: Handle field calls from customers and obtain necessary information for the manager to address.
- Cross-Training: Cross-train with other Sales Administrators and fill in for other Sales Administrators when absent.
- Call Management: Manage all incoming calls.
Interdepartmental Interaction
You will interact with various departments including, but not limited to:
- Customer Service
- Claims
- Scheduling
- Transportation
- Pricing
- Production
- Quality Assurance
- Credit
Building strong relationships with both internal and external customers is key to this role.
Requirements
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 2 plus years in a business environment; preferably Distribution Customer Service.
Computer Skills
- Basic MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience is a must.
- Knowledge of the Tyson Business Computer System is preferred (ORP, PowerBI, Four Kites).
Communication Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills
- Work activities are variable and require good judgment skills to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, and coordinating with others.
- Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others.
- Good teamwork skills, professional demeanor and phone etiquette, and a strong work ethic are required.
- Must be highly motivated and detail-oriented with the willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
