SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of the Hatchery Feed Mill Transportation or Production Complex. Responsibilities include maintaining official records and performing administrative and supervisory support for the Location Manager; reviewing and setting production schedules; creating, maintaining, and approving weekly work schedules (including vacations and leaves of absence); managing the SAP Purchase Order System; and performing all other duties as required by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
Experienced position requiring a thorough knowledge of the work area
Typically requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
Accountability Role
Provides coordination and support for moderately complex assignments within a department or group
Work is performed under general supervision and requires the incumbent to exercise some independence
Requires comprehensive knowledge and understanding of how departmental operations impact other related work units
Provides tactical guidance and recommendations to internal and external customers to resolve issues within established guidelines
Strong customer service skills required
Computer Skills
Standard computer skills required
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Biosecurity Requirements
This position works in a biosecurity environment and requires showering before entering the facility and may require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite, except for medical ID jewelry. Team members must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (including chickens, ducks, or other birds). The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
