Summary:

Systems and Programs Manager Integrated Risk Management – Safety Operations: Exempt

Responsibilities include enterprise support across all Business Units by guiding onsite Safety and Management personnel and Operations leaders in continuous improvement initiatives. The primary focus is on risk mitigation through reducing injuries/illnesses and property exposures, driving sustainability in all processes to achieve prevention and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement and enhance safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Develop, plan, and execute comprehensive safety programs and processes to meet or exceed OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Operations Leadership to drive performance improvements by addressing risks that impact prevention and compliance. Analyze safety trends, develop improvement strategies, and assess evolving work environments to identify and eliminate or minimize hazards. Implement Safety Management Systems, monitor Key Performance Indicators using digital tools (Power BI, Paragon, Safety Events), and support activities during Cross-Functional Cluster Audits and Social Compliance Audits to ensure full regulatory compliance.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee assigned safety staff and act as a resource for management and team members regarding safety standards, policies, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in occupational safety, environmental, safety engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of four years’ experience in safety compliance and management.
  • Information Systems Skills: Must be proficient in using digital safety management tools, including Power BI, Paragon, and Safety Events.
  • Verbal/Written Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong abilities in influencing, problem solving, planning, implementing, and managing change. Able to analyze and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • People/Organizational/Planning Skills: Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on team coordination, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
