Job Details:
Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday possible Saturdays
This position is responsible for checking the weight of the whole leg boxes and applying a code date label.
Each box of whole legs is pulled off of the line and placed onto a scale.
The Whole Leg Scaler checks the weight of the box and adds or removes whole legs to get as close as possible to target weight.
A code date label is printed and applied to the box and then the box is placed back onto the conveyor to go through the automatic strapping machine.
If the strap spool is being replaced in the strapping machine the boxes are stacked onto a pallet until they can be run though the strapping machine.
The Scaler will be required to lift 40 pound boxes.
This position requires standing, pushing, gripping the hands and wrists and lifting for 10 hours. The temperature in this area is 45 degrees.

Rehire Criteria: This facility does accept rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than 2 previous times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
