Staff IT Project Manager (Onsite)

As a Staff IT Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects. You will lead an Agile Scrum team, focusing on increasing Agile maturity for the team. You will have advanced knowledge of Scrum ceremonies and use them to drive efficiency of the Agile development team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in HR and Payroll to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope and budget. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful change and contribute significantly to the success of our organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, managing, and leading large and complex projects that will significantly impact multiple domains and functional areas, delivering strategic value to the business.

• Ability to manage small, medium, and large-scale projects simultaneously. Strategy work with a focus on execution.

• Expertly facilitate Scrum events (planning, reviews, retrospectives) and workshops, ensuring focus, effective collaboration, and actionable outcomes.

• Develop best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning & execution and key performance metrics.

• Implement and adapt Agile/Scrum at scale, integrating practices from other frameworks to enhance delivery flow and team performance.

• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and stakeholders to align efforts and ensure smooth delivery across the enterprise.

• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise new project team leads, team members, and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and be accountable for assigned work.

• Drive a continuous improvement and innovation culture, gathering user feedback and insights to iterate on project features and enhance the overall user experience.

• Act as a passionate customer advocate, representing their needs and interests in project decisions and initiatives.

• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance our projects’ value proposition and market position.

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks and dependencies impacting project delivery or performance.

• Governance Enhancement: Continuously improve project governance processes, adapting them to meet evolving organizational needs and industry standards.

• Advanced communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas, influence diverse audiences, and drive stakeholder alignment.

• Growing experience in managing and overseeing multiple projects within a portfolio, focusing on aligning projects with organizational strategies and optimizing resource allocation across initiatives.

• Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.

Preferred Certification(s): PMP, Agile Certification.

Experience: 7+ years of relevant and practical experience managing multiple large-scale transformation projects. Experience managing multiple programs simultaneously. Must have multiple domain knowledge for various IT/Business Functions.

• Financial Acumen: Advanced financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting for large-scale projects and programs.

• Problem-solving: Exceptional abilities in diagnosing and resolving complex issues, utilizing analytical thinking and innovative approaches to overcome project challenges.

• Time Management: Superior organizational skills for managing time, prioritizing tasks, and efficiently handling multiple high-level responsibilities across diverse projects.

• Change Management: Advanced Organizational Change Management skills, enabling successful implementation of large-scale transformations and fostering a culture of adaptability.

• Tool Mastery: Advanced understanding and proficient utilization of Project Management Tools (Clarity, MS Projects, Jira, etc.) to optimize project processes, reporting, and decision-making.

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in complex or scaled Agile environments.

• Complex Project Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex projects or programs, navigating intricate stakeholder landscapes, and delivering significant organizational value.

• Portfolio Management: Advanced project portfolio management and resource optimization skills, ensuring strategic alignment and maximizing return on investment across multiple initiatives.

• Organizational Transformation: Expertise in driving and managing organizational transformation, aligning project outcomes with broader business objectives and cultural shifts.

• Mentorship: Strong mentoring and coaching abilities for developing junior project managers and fostering a high-performing project management culture within the organization.

• Executive Influence: Ability to influence decision-making at the senior leadership level, effectively advocating for project needs and aligning initiatives with strategic organizational goals.
