We are seeking a driven and passionate intern to join our Case Ready Beef and Pork Sales Team and contribute to meaningful projects that drive our business forward. As an intern at Tyson Foods, you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop key skills, and be part of a company that values innovation, sustainability, and excellence.
Throughout this 10–12 week program, you will learn our systems and processes while collaborating with departments such as scheduling, pricing, customer service, and transportation. You will support sales initiatives, assist with customer item setup, forecasting, claim resolution, and retail verifications, and help build reports and presentations. This internship provides valuable exposure to sales operations within Tyson’s beef and pork businesses and an understanding of how they connect to plant processes.
Responsibilities:
Support the Case Ready Beef and Pork Sales Team with daily operations and special projects.
Assist with customer item setup, item attribution, forecasting, claim resolution, and retail verifications.
Prepare and analyze reports to support business decisions.
Take meeting notes and assist with follow-ups from customer or internal meetings.
Support customer service and help resolve inquiries as needed.
Assist in creating customer presentations and sales materials.
Learn and manage data systems and reporting tools as assigned.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, production, and customer service teams to support sales initiatives.
Requirements:
Education: Incoming junior or senior with at least one year of school remaining. Majors in Animal/Meat Science, Agriculture Business, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred.
Experience: Prior work experience preferred. Hands-on experience in ranching, raising animals, or working in university meat labs or processing facilities is also preferred. Experience related to sales, marketing, or business analytics is a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse teams.
Special Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a motivated self-starter mindset.
Work Hours: Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer internship period.
Relocation: Housing provided for candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius.
