Summary
Join our team as an Aircraft Pilot, where you'll be responsible for operating the aircraft in accordance with the approved aircraft flight manual, federal air regulations, and Tyson Foods flight operations manual. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, you will perform the duties of pilot in command on assigned flights.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Full authority and responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft on assigned flights.
- Crew Supervision: Supervise all crew members assigned to the flight.
- Preflight Inspection: Ensure that the preflight inspection has been completed prior to departure.
- Equipment Check: Confirm that all required equipment, paperwork, and supplies are onboard the aircraft prior to departure.
- Weather Briefing: Obtain a complete weather briefing for departure, enroute, destination, and alternate airports.
- Performance Review: Review aircraft performance and calculate weight and balance to ensure that the flight will be conducted within aircraft operating limits.
- Flight Coordination: Report flight cancellations or diversions to the dispatcher and chief pilot; coordinate with lead passenger concerning passenger arrangements.
- Cockpit Procedures: Use cockpit flows and checklists.
- Post-Flight Inspection: Ensure a thorough post-flight inspection is completed following each flight.
- Trip Paperwork: Complete all required trip paperwork.
- International Operations: Be knowledgeable of and willing to conduct international flight operations.
Requirements
Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience with special knowledge and/or training in the Aviation field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum flight time of 2500 hours with 500 hours multiengine and/or turbine preferred. Experience on Falcon 2000 EASy II, Gulfstream G500, Gulfstream G700, or Global 7500 aircraft is preferred. Must hold or be able to obtain the appropriate type ratings for the aircraft to be flown.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Travel: Travel may include 4 or more international trips per year.
Must consent to and pass a 10-year background check to include: employment history, FAA records, and driving records. Must possess a valid FAA Airline Transport Certificate, First Class medical certificate, restricted radiotelephone operator permit, and a U.S. passport.
