Job Details:
This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that mixes or blends ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position starts at $18.80/hr. with a shift increase for 2nd/3rd shift.
REQUIREMENT:
• Applicant must have 3 months of experience with any employer.
• 1st Shift comes in at 5am on Mondays for set up.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• COMPLETED LOCKOUT/TAGOUT TRAINING REQUIRED before training or operating line.
• Operates the mixer, water meter, oil system, dough pump and flour hopper as defined in Production Manual.
• Prepares for start-up or shut down of equipment.
• Keeps a legible accurate record as required including Blender Operator's Log.
• Stops machine to make required adjustments, following lockout-tagout policy.
• Maintains good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene.
• Keeps department clean and neat.
• Notifies Supervisor and QC of contamination, mechanical or operational issues.
• Must be able to perform the Machine Operators Training Checklist job tasks by the end of the 10-working day trial period.
• Ensure product specifications are met in accordance with customers written specifications.
• Must adhere to all safety policies and operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting any wear and tear on equipment.
• Must have the ability to enter data into the Plant View system.
• If a shift meeting is conducted, all blender operators are required to attend at the end of the shift.
• Abide by all company policies / procedures, written or verbal.
• Work as a team member toward task accomplishments.
• Performs all other tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Requires flexibility of wrists and hands. Walking, bending, standing and lifting required. Lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device.
• Must be able to understand and navigate through the Automated Ingredient System screens.
• Use and read scales and thermometers. Must be able to use a calculator to figure proper blend specifications, pre-mix weights, and other ingredient amounts (add, subtract, divide, and multiply).
• Must be able to read the Operator’s Logs, Mixer SOP’s, and related documentation.
• Must be able to write production recordings in the Operator’s Logs and complete production documentation accurately.
• Must be able to perform the Blender Operator Training Checklist job tasks by the end of the 10-working day trial period.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
