Job Details:

This position is responsible for ensuring all related equipment and area is performing to production standards while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Pay: $16.90/hour

Must be able to set up and run the weighing machine baggers and metal detectors.

Must be able to program equipment according to product specifications and make necessary adjustments when needed.

Must be observant of equipment to ensure it is operating properly and efficiently.

Must keep work area clean and neat as possible.

Must ensure all product is packaged according to product specifications.

Must be willing to work in different areas as needed.

Must do piece counts, frozen weight, temperature and metal detector checks.

Other Duties as assigned by Management or Lead.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

PHYSICAL – Strong, must be able to lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds and bend and stand for 100% of production hours.

EDUCATION – Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations.

RATE OF WORK – Moderately fast

QUALITY OF WORK – Must be neat with work

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS – Must be able to handle responsibility and have good communication skills.

ENVIRONMENT – Must be able to work around breader dust and in a temperature of 50 degrees F or less.

Discretionary Positions: Applicant cannot have more than 5 attendance points at the time of job bid and no more than three write-up’s of any kind in the past twelve months.

All applicants must provide their government identification number for the purpose of checking previous employment.

Rehire Criteria: This facility does accept rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than 2 previous times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
