Job Title: Senior Director, Deputy CISO – IAM & Platform Security

This position will be located in Northwest Arkansas; relocation assistance available.

The Senior Director, Deputy CISO – IAM & Enterprise Security is a senior security leadership role responsible for supporting the CISO in setting the strategic vision and leading the execution of the organization’s global cybersecurity program, with a primary specialization in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and enterprise platform security.

This position bridges operational leadership and strategic planning—acting as the CISO’s deputy while independently leading IAM initiatives and critical security functions. The Senior Director will design and oversee global IAM strategies, platform security controls, and enterprise-wide security standards for mission-critical systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Salesforce).

This leader serves as the principal authority for IAM architecture and operations, while also spearheading cross-functional initiatives that enhance business resilience, manage security risk, and align security posture with corporate growth goals. They partner closely with executive leadership, IT, HR, Legal, and business units to embed security into organizational culture and technology decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Partner with the CISO to execute enterprise-wide security strategies, ensuring IAM is embedded as a foundational pillar of cybersecurity operations.
  • Serve as acting CISO in the CISO’s absence, providing operational oversight, executive decision-making, and strategic continuity.
  • Lead global IAM programs across all delivery platforms, including identity governance and lifecycle management, access control and provisioning, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), platform security, and IAM product initiatives.
  • Serve as the security workstream contact for enterprise projects.

Team & Program Oversight

  • Build, mentor, and manage high-performing cybersecurity and IAM teams across architecture, administration, operations, and governance.
  • Oversee enterprise IAM and platform security operations, including MSP oversight, to ensure world-class reliability, resilience, and strong access control frameworks.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and support of IAM related products within the organization.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and security standards that align with best practices, regulatory expectations, and industry frameworks.

Risk, Audit, & Compliance

  • Lead IAM-related risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and compliance efforts for NIST, SOX, GDPR, and other applicable regulations.
  • Support Board and Audit Committee presentations, providing executive reporting on IAM maturity, security posture, and risk trends.

Enterprise Collaboration & Governance

  • Collaborate with technology and business unit leaders to integrate IAM security into digital transformation, merger and acquisition, and cloud initiatives.
  • Enhance enterprise platform security for core business systems, ensuring IAM is tightly aligned with data protection and access governance requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and security provider partnerships to deliver high-value services at optimized cost.

Incident Response & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as the executive lead for incident detection, containment, analysis, and recovery.
  • Drive adoption of Zero Trust and least privilege principles and secure access architecture across the enterprise environment.
  • Stay current with emerging IAM technologies, trends, and best practices by taking an active role in the security and start-up community.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 15+ years in cybersecurity, with 5–7 years in senior leadership, managing IAM programs and enterprise-scale platform security in a complex organization. Equivalent experience managing other security domains will be considered.
  • Proven experience influencing executive-level decision-making and leading cross-functional security initiatives.
  • Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCISO, or equivalent; specialized IAM and project management certifications desirable.

Special Skills & Competencies:

  • IAM Mastery: Expertise in IAM frameworks, Zero Trust, PAM, and identity governance platforms.
  • Deputy Leadership: Experience acting as a trusted deputy to a CISO, maintaining operational and strategic continuity.
  • Executive Communication: Ability to clearly present security posture, risks, and strategies to boards, regulators, and leadership.
  • Global Perspective: Understanding of complex, global business and regulatory landscapes.
  • Change Leadership: Demonstrated ability to transform IAM and security operations to support evolving business needs.
  • Crisis Management: Skilled in leading incident command and recovery efforts.
