Job Purpose/Summary:

• Strategic network model design to simulate alternative end to end network opportunities in quest of improved operating efficiencies and cost reduction

• Dynamic sourcing to leverage existing supply chain network or open/close new or existing locations to explore or unveil further opportunities or benefits

• Organize and position key network optimization details to collaborate with multiple supply chain operations groups and serve as a valued team member for various business improvement projects and other cost savings opportunities
  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Position carries the full responsibility for Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru and Data Guru. These duties include loading data, maintaining data integrity, resolving infeasibility to derive a functioning and feasible model, followed by scenario development to test alternatives

• Establish and maintain baseline modeling details to include monthly updates to operational and sales order details

• Run statistical models to evaluate overall warehouse network design and balance with on-going adhoc optimization adjustments

• Network model to emulate actual network design and flow pattern to accumulate an accurate costing model

• Network scenarios act to curtail/restrict or un-restrict operating policies and then evaluate the result

• Understanding how to translate policy into specific model instructions requires a robust command of the software

• Strong data analysis skills required along with creative and strategic mindset

Requirements:

• Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Transportation/Warehousing experience.

• Experience: 3 plus years of experience. Knowledge of Logistical functions to include Transportation, Warehousing.

• Computer Skills: Excellent working knowledge of MS products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Access), SQL & Llamasoft Supply.

• Chain Guru (preferred, but not required). Working knowledge of customized operations modeling and optimization tools.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills required; presentation skills.

• Special Skills: Strong analytical and technical skills required. Requires specific knowledge of logistics and overall supply chain operations including the inter-dependencies of each of the functions.

• Supervisory: No direct reports

• Travel: 1-6 domestic trips per year
