Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the organization and administration of LTL order information that is received into the Fresh Meats Load Planning department; coordinating with Tyson's customers to schedule receiving appointments, assist in the coordinating of outbound freight; communicating with customer service representatives (CSRs) and Tyson sales representatives to obtain order delivery and receiving information as needed to achieve customer expectations; communicate service issues and customer requirements with Tyson Warehousing, Tyson Fleet and Tyson Transportation Operations departments as needed to contribute to achieve the efficient distribution of Tyson products; monitor sales orders for assigned customers for various company management personnel; assist in carrier tracking and tracing procedures and document such information in established reporting systems for management; assist in resolving delivery issues with sales, transportation dispatch, customers and/or carriers when needed; compile and distribute assigned distribution performance and customer service reports accurately and in a timely fashion; includes other division administrative duties and tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3+ years of office/clerical experience preferred; transportation or customer service environment is preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required; must possess articulate and professional phone skills with internal company contacts and external customers.

Special Skills: Must have the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking.
