SUMMARY:

The Retail Development Manager for the Western US geography is responsible for managing the retail execution of our broker partners for all customers within the assigned geography. This is a remote position will be based out of the Phoenix or Los Angeles market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communication and Execution: Lead the communication and execution of national retail priorities.

  • Innovation Execution: Drive innovation execution and category analytics integration.

  • Development of Sales Materials: Create and develop national sales sheets.

  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customer teams to ensure alignment and success.

  • Results Tracking: Monitor and track results to ensure goals are met.

  • Training and Development: Train broker partners, onboard new team members, and focus on personal growth development.

The successful candidate must deliver strong growth results through cross-functional team members, broker engagement, and retail execution while demonstrating the company's RIGHT Behaviors across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Broker Training and Development: Train and develop broker representation.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor business trends and competitive activity, formulating proactive solutions to effectively grow the business.

  • Quarterly Reviews: Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key partners, highlighting new item performance and growth opportunities

  • Collaboration: Collaborate both internally and externally, working in a team environment across multiple levels and personalities to properly engage and influence others.

  • Customer Presentations: Prepare pertinent material for effective presentations to customers regarding retail activities and effectiveness.

  • Presentation Skills: Demonstrate solid presentation skills aimed at influencing and negotiating for win-win outcomes.

  • Business Monitoring: Regularly create, review and act upon company and team performance reports to maintain a constant pulse on the business and to ensure flawless execution of objectives

  • Consumer Data Analysis: Frequently analyze consumer data to understand category and competitive trends, and product performance.

  • Leadership: Be a leader across the retail and customer teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience:

  • 5 plus years customer management or retail execution experience.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills:

  • Strong organization skills

  • Interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to translate corporate direction into sales successes and create alignment with the broker

  • Understanding of motivational leadership

  • Conflict resolution

  • Strong selling skills are required

Travel:

  • 40-50% within geography and to national sales meetings, team meetings, etc.

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
