Position Summary: The Sales Strategy and Planning (SS&P) analyst is responsible for supporting the Retail & Club Poultry SS&P Team related to sales activation activities, execution of the business unit's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the team’s attainment of Poultry business goals. They will support the SS&P team by updating ad-hoc analysis to bring visibility to performance and opportunities within the Retail Poultry organization, as well as executing ad-hoc sales support requests analyzing brand performance, category performance, merchandising, and distribution. This position offers the potential for exposure to: Business Units, Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, FSQA, and Customer Service. Self-starters with strong sense of ownership are desired in this role. Innate curiosity along with the willingness and ability to learn quickly are valued.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining internal reports using Microsoft Office applications, Power BI, Salesforce CRM and other internal systems as well as executing ad-hoc sales support requests
- Adhoc sales and BU support requests for the Poultry Retail & Club SS&P Team
- Participate and support the SS&P team in the sales planning process for Poultry Sales/BU
- Understand and track customer strategies and execution of key initiatives, score carding against aligned growth initiatives
- Additional point of contact for connecting field sales teams to the internal business unit.
- Communicates timely and concise, effectively both internally and externally
- Helps assist with special projects
- Support and assist the development of selling materials and sales training for innovation and base business initiatives
- Embodies a “One Tyson” approach that benefits both Tyson and the customer
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: 1-3 years relevant work experience in the foodservice or poultry industry or other relevant business functions.
Computer Skills: Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Special Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with internal partners. Multi-tasking and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Travel: 1-3 trips per year
