Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and data-driven Paid Media Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of digital media campaigns across our portfolio of brands. This hybrid role combines hands-on-keys execution (with a strong focus on The Trade Desk) and strategic media leadership—driving our in-housing initiative to bring 25–50% of paid media management internally. The ideal candidate is passionate about performance, cost efficiency, and continuous learning, and will play a critical role in accelerating our digital maturity while partnering across shopper marketing, brand, analytics, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Media Planning & In-House Activation

  • Operate hands-on within The Trade Desk to plan, build, launch, and optimize programmatic campaigns (display, video, CTV, etc.).
  • Oversee campaign execution across other digital channels (search, social, retail media) in coordination with agency teams.
  • Align media strategy with seasonal plans, brand priorities, and customer insights—ensuring activation maps back to business objectives and audience segmentation.
  • Support the build-out and refinement of internal media playbooks, processes, and test-and-learn agendas.

Investment Strategy & Optimization

  • Partner with brand teams and analytics to allocate media budgets across channels, brands, and retail partners with a focus on volume growth and cost reduction.
  • Own in-flight campaign optimization, pacing, bid adjustments, creative rotation, and audience refinement.
  • Leverage real-time data to drive decisions and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Deliver clear, consistent reporting and insights, partnering with analytics to interpret media’s contribution to business KPIs and first-party data capture.
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate DSP and media partner performance; make buy/sell decisions and drive platform-level optimizations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Agency Partnership

  • Partner across Shopper Marketing, eCommerce, Brand, and Creative to ensure unified media strategies and seamless activation across the funnel.
  • Serve as the daily point of contact with our external media agency—overseeing campaign execution, asset delivery, performance updates, and budget reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with retail teams to ensure retail media activations are integrated into broader brand campaigns and performance is tracked holistically.
  • Hold internal and external partners accountable to media KPIs, timelines, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other related field required.
  • 4–6 years of hands-on media planning and buying experience in digital channels; experience using The Trade Desk is highly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of digital media platforms including programmatic display, video, paid social, search, and retail media.
  • Proven experience executing and optimizing in-flight campaigns and managing budgets across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to distill data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Comfortable navigating performance measurement tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, MMM/MMX, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to manage agency relationships and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Experience in CPG, retail, or performance-driven environments preferred.

Location: This role will sit at Tyson Corporate Office in Springdale, AR. Remote/hybrid work is NOT available.
