Summary:

As a member of the Deli Customer Planning team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and execution of strategic product marketing and customer-centric campaigns for deli prepared foods, with a strong emphasis on the sandwich category. This is an exciting opportunity to create impactful customer plans and promotions, partner closely with business units and operations, and support customer-facing initiatives. Your efforts will be focused on driving volume growth and delivering against key strategic objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and contribute to long-range and annual planning processes for customer and product strategic plans
• Lead strategic and tactical marketing solutions across brands and categories to support operating results
• Manage the marketing calendar, including consumer-facing activations, print and digital campaigns, and customer specific point-of-sale materials.
• Assist in building and tracking the annual deli channel marketing budget, ensuring alignment with financial targets and compliance.
• Oversee the execution of regional trade shows, promotional activities, and communication strategies.
• Collaborate with outside agencies and creative teams to develop sales tools, promotional assets, and tradeshow materials.
• Support the sales team with retail strategies and pricing, including cross functional collaboration with supply chain, revenue management, business units, and demand planning.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or agriculture or other related discipline.

Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in deli, foodservice, or retail marketing or sales strategy & planning.

Computer Skills:

• Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must work effectively in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

Special Skills:

• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Experience in customer or strategic planning.
• Financial acumen with focus on growing top and bottom line.
• Experience leading and working cross-functionally.
• Proven experience working collaboratively with sales team and external customers to drive business results.
• Strong focus on customer including consumer and customer needs.

Travel:

• 5-10 trips per year.
