Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for working in close collaboration with the Sr. Analyst Commodities in providing support and information to both internal and external stakeholders including buyers, accountants, business unit leaders, brokers, and executives. This position requires the ability to work within a team and through others outside the team to accomplish tasks. The ability to multi-task across multiple businesses both internally and externally to Tyson Foods Inc is a must.
Responsibilities include planning designing and conducting research to aid in the interpretation of economic relationships; compiling reviewing and analyzing economic data to prepare reports detailing the results of the investigation; staying abreast of economic changes; organizing data into report format and preparing graphic illustrations of research findings; formulating recommendations to aid in market interpretation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Knowledge and techniques normally acquired through four years of college leading to a Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
Experience: 1 plus years’ experience in the food or agriculture industry required.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills required: expertise in Microsoft Access and Excel a must; basic knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Outlook PowerPoint Word; Knowledge of purchasing programs such as SAP preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ability to speak well in groups and publicly a plus.
Special Skills: research minded financial acumen; knowledge of commodity markets; ability to prioritize tasks; understand the needs of key stakeholders and the ability to relay those needs to various groups.
Supervisory: None.
Travel: Limited travel required.
