JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Shelf Content Associate Manager for Beef & Pork is responsible for developing and implementing eCommerce content strategies to enhance product visibility and drive conversions. This role involves creating engaging digital content, optimizing product listings across various platforms, and collaborating with marketing and brand teams to align content with business strategies. Additionally, the manager will analyze sales data and customer feedback to improve digital shelf performance and ensure compliance with industry standards. This position requires strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and proficiency in digital marketing tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy Development:
- Assist in the development and implementation of eCommerce content and organic search strategies to increase product awareness and drive conversions.
- Support the team in maintaining eCommerce content best practices, benchmarking, and content creation.
Content Creation and Management:
- Contribute to the development of engaging and persuasive digital shelf content, including optimized imagery, SEO copy, enhanced content, and videos.
- Help maintain product content, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information
- Work with Digital Experience team to ensure SEO optimization.
- Assist in managing product listings on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Sysco, and the company’s own website, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Provide supplemental product information as required by key retailers and corporate account distributors
- Work with internal Data Activation team to ensure remediation of core product data integrity issues (inaccuracies, gaps/outages)
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Commerce Marketing Managers, brand, digital capabilities, customer teams, and vendor partners to create custom eCommerce content and ensure seamless shopper experiences.
- Work closely with internal partners (brand, sales, commerce marketing) and external partners (digital agencies, platform representatives) to align digital content with overall business strategies and enhance product visibility.
Optimization and Analysis:
- Support the implementation of strategies to improve product rankings and visibility on digital shelves, including conducting A/B testing and other experiments.
- Assist in analyzing sales data, customer reviews, and other metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Help leverage digital shelf health tools (e.g., Salsify, retailer & distributor scorecards) to track compliance and performance, benchmark competition, identify gaps/opportunities, and drive corrective action plans.
Project and Platform Management:
- Assist in managing projects related to digital content, including new product launches and seasonal promotions, ensuring timely completion.
- Support the online product setup process and content execution across all Tyson Beef & Pork categories and business channels.
- Help continuously refine retailer & distributor product detail pages and execute retailer and distributor enhanced content planning.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all product content complies with industry standards, legal requirements, and platform guidelines.
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital channels.
Customer Engagement:
- Monitor customer reviews and questions on digital platforms, and report feedback to improve product content and overall customer experience.
Training and Development:
- Assist in training and communicating to team members on best practices for digital content management.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing and e-commerce.
Reporting and Metrics:
- Partner with Sr. eCommerce Analyst to report on digital shelf performance, including brand/retailer/distributor health and share of shelf/share of voice performance for the eCommerce dashboard.
- Work with account teams to understand retailer & distributor metrics and requirements (e.g., Target’s Content Report Card) to inform digital shelf content strategy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant marketing experience required, with at least 1 year in CPG eCommerce.
Special Job Competencies:
- Highly collaborative – with an ability to lead through influence. Must be a self-starter full of intellectual curiosity and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Excel. Proficient knowledge and experience with CMS (Salsify, Syndigo, etc.), syndicated data and measurement tools (Profitero).
