Summary:
The Associate Manager Shopper Marketing is a key role on the Tyson Commerce Marketing team. This role sits within the Shopper Marketing Club & Dollar team and supports both channels. The Associate Manager reports to a Sr. Shopper Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Lead in the development and execution of shopper marketing strategies and plans for Tysons portfolio of brands at designated retail accounts. Additionally, support the Shopper Marketing Manager in the development and execution of shopper marketing plans at Sam's Club, Dollar General, and Family Dollar.
- Develop executional tactics consistent with Brands Category Portfolio overall goals and strategies that align with strategic customers to create win win programs.
- Assist with developing and executing Launch Plans for Tyson brands at retailers that meet or exceed objectives; awareness, household penetration, trial and repeat, etc. of a brand.
- Manages shopper marketing projects and budget communicates brand information and works with shopper marketing team, brand team, and Sales Planning team for assigned master brand and scale programs. All programs must be executed on time and within budget.
- Ability to comfortably sell ideas to others who ultimately will make the business decisions; Retailer, Buyer and or Shopper Marketing contact, Tyson Sales Leader, Tyson Brand Manager, Tyson Sales Planning Team.
- Strategic skill sets based on a combination of fact-based shopper and qualitative data that creates customer visions for sustained business growth.
- Develop strategies and plans that align with Sales Brand and Customer priorities.
- Influence multiple functions both internally and externally at manager and director levels in the planning, budgeting, and development of programs.
- Conduct Strategic Business Analysis, identify Key Business Drivers, and create and track agreed upon KPI s to optimize ROI, manage and maintain budget.
Agency Management
- Able to lead agency based on project management from brief through creative concept to execution.
- Write agency assignment briefs and be the strategic customer and brand advocate.
- Perform at a high capacity to deliver against quick turn-around on unanticipated customer-generated requests.
- Requires solid project management skill set along with multi-tasking troubleshooting and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional partners.
Requirements:
Education: BS in marketing or other business-related field preferred.
Experience: 3 years’ experience in marketing sales market research and or agency in Food or other Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. A minimum of 2 year knowledge in shopper marketing preferred. Working with Retail Media Networks: MAP, DGMN, etc.
Computer Skills: Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office Excel to build complex Excel spreadsheets as analysis tools, budget macros mapping to multiple sheets, and mapping to access database. Moderate to advanced skill set in PowerPoint. Proficient systems knowledge and experience with syndicated data AC Nielsen IRI Spectra .
Communication Skills: Public speaking skills for presentations peers and customers. Collaboratively communicate with field sales agency brand teams business unit teams and retail execution team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clear communication across brand and portfolio team in several aspects of the programming: process program details and program results.
