Job Details:

The UX Designer II is a mid-level position for individuals with a foundational understanding of UX design principles and a desire to take on more responsibility in the design process. You'll be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences for our digital products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers, to ensure that design solutions meet user needs and business goals. The UX Designer II is expected to contribute to the design system and take the initiative to improve design processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on more complex projects, develop intermediate-level skills, and significantly impact the user experience. With a focus on delivering seamless and enjoyable user experiences, you'll contribute to the overall success of our products and help drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Workshops: Assist in the planning and facilitating of workshops to gather user requirements and generate design ideas.
• User Research: Conduct user interviews, create user interview scripts, and document findings. Develop research findings and insights that drive design decisions.
• Mapping: Create detailed personas, archetypes, journey maps, and blueprints to represent user needs and behaviors.
• Design: Develop sitemaps and execute the ORCA process to organize and structure content. Design wireframes and high-fidelity (HiFi) mockups to visually represent the user interface. Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate design functionality.
• Design System: Fully utilize and contribute to the design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• User Testing: Assist in the preparation and execution of usability testing sessions and create usability testing scripts to gather feedback on design prototypes.
• Interface Design: Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for digital products, ensuring consistency across all screens and interactions.
• Information Architecture: Organize and structure content to optimize user flow and navigation, creating logical hierarchies and intuitive pathways.
• Interaction Design: Define and design interactive elements and animations to enhance user engagement and usability, considering user feedback and best practices.
• Visual Design: Create high-fidelity visual designs that align with brand guidelines and aesthetic standards, incorporating typography, color, and imagery effectively.
• User Testing: Assist in the preparation and execution of usability testing sessions and create usability testing scripts to gather feedback on design prototypes.
• Accessibility: Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards and guidelines, making digital products usable for users with disabilities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Present design concepts and findings to the product and UX teams. Communicate effectively with developers, product, and UX team members to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Documentation: Document design decisions, rationale, and specifications in design documents and style guides, ensuring consistency and clarity for development teams.
• Iterative Design: Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing results, and evolving requirements, striving for continuous improvement and optimization.
• Communication: Communicate design concepts, ideas, and rationale effectively to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and insights into design iterations.
• Problem Solving: Identify design challenges and opportunities and propose creative solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Stay Updated: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design, incorporating new learnings and insights into design processes and workflows.
• Scope: Work on tasks and projects at the product and project level, contributing to the overall design process.
• Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
Experience: 1+ years of relevant or practical experience. Intermediate-level experience in UX design, with a proven track record of successful projects.
