Job Details:

This position is responsible for setting up and operating machinery used for cooking while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Learn how to operate oven and fryer and learn and utilize basic computer and SPC skills. This applicant assists supervisor in coordination of production by passing on supervisor’s instructions and directions. This position monitors performance of equipment and informs supervisor of needed repairs and if there is inoperative equipment. Must learn all paperwork associated with the department. This position also assists in rotation of breaks and assists with clean-up and sanitation of the line following USDA/Tyson guidelines, and must also be able to do SPC charts. Help set –up line at the start of the shift and check readiness of equipment. Follow all safe work practices including the use of personal protective equipment when required. Follow all sanitary procedures and policies. Lift 50lbs continuously. All other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Starting pay rate: $19.40/hour ($17.40/hr base + $2.00/hr shift differential)

Requirements:

  • Must complete an on-line job application in Workday
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Any team member who accumulates 8 or more attendance points, who holds a class 2 or above position, will be demoted to any available class 1 position in the plant.
  • Must have 6 months continuous work history in 2 years.

DISCRETIONARY JOBS are awarded to the best qualified candidate based on qualifications to include, work history, attendance, discipline, and position requirements.
