Job Details:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, some Saturdays (2:00 PM to production end)

Starting pay rate: $17.40/hour

This position is responsible for data collection and entry into the system and weight of products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Team member will operate Bread equipment and fryer. Learn and utilize basic computer and spec skills. Assist department Supervisor in coordination of production by passing on Supervisor’s instructions and directions. Monitor performance of equipment and inform Supervisor of needed repairs and inoperative equipment. Learn paperwork associated with the department. Assist in rotation of breaks for all Raw-End team members. Assist with clean-up and sanitation of the line following USDA/Tyson guidelines. Help set-up line at the start of the shift and check readiness of equipment. All other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Team member must be able to follow instructions, adapt readily to changes and work well with others. Possess good reading and math skills. All qualified applicants' safety records will be reviewed. Follow safe work practices including the use of personal protective equipment when required. Follow all sanitary procedures and policies. Lift 50 lbs. continuously. Read, write, understand, and follow instructions given by Supervisor. Successful candidate must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Must complete an on-line job application in Workday
  • Must be a full-time team member and have completed the 90-day probationary period. If there no qualified candidates, probationary team members will be considered.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when needed.
  • Must not have a self-demotion or declined a job bid in the last six (6) months, unless the bid is to a higher class.
  • Must have less than 8 attendance points at the time of the bid and to be awarded the job.
  • Successful bidders will not be allowed to bid for (6) months unless the bid is for a higher classification rating.
  • Any team member who accumulates 8 or more attendance points, who holds a class 2 or above position, will be demoted to any available class 1 position in the plant.

All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history.

This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
