What do you need to know about this role?

As an intern with the Transportation Analytics Team, you will be engaged in helping make a difference in the lives of our Tyson Transportation Team Members every day. Specifically, you will be helping the analytics team provide visibility to key performance metrics, deeper operational insights through data, and reporting optimization for our operations teams. You will have the opportunity to network and support a variety of roles within the Logistics network. Based on initiative this position offers the potential for exposure to cross-functional teams from Tyson’s Private Fleet, Export Operations, Domestic Operations, Rail, Fleet Maintenance, Safety, IT, HR, and more.

What you are responsible for:

This role will assist the Transportation Analytics Team in Power BI report building, data modeling, and automation-based projects

Coordinate with the Transportation Analytics Team and stakeholders in gathering business requirements, creating custom data models and pipelines, and generate reporting to support successful business outcomes

Provide stakeholders with ad hoc reporting needs through existing datasets

Support the Transportation Analytics Team in weekly or daily housekeeping tasks regarding maintenance of tech debt with the goal of eliminating manual steps through automation

Requirements:

Education: Incoming junior, senior, or MBA at least one year of school remaining.

Experience: Previous work experience in any field.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with SQL and Power BI preferred.

Location: This internship is a summer role where candidates are expected to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer and breaks. This is an in-person internship located at one of our corporate offices in Springdale, Arkansas. Students must be within commutable distance to the facility, which is 60 miles or less.
