The selected team member will need to be located in California or at our Corporate Office in Springdale, AR. Priority consideration will be given to those in California. Relocation is not being offered.
SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager Customer Development role is responsible for leading building and implementing collaborative business solutions which are aligned with both Tyson and customer objectives that achieve desired business results in the fresh tray pack chicken categories. Responsibilities of this position are to manage the sale and profitable growth of Tyson’s packaged prepared and poultry businesses, provide sales leadership support and timely communication to the customer and to the Tyson Business Units. This position is responsible for planning forecasting and budgeting the volume and growth rate aligned with both the customer s and Tyson objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Achieving sales volume and financial objective.
· Develop and lead strategic customer relationships for collaboration and joint sales planning.
· Higher interaction with customer sales planning team
· Provide timely concise and effective communication both internally and externally.
· Align and execute multiple business strategies.
It is expected that this position will have an intense level of interaction and collaboration with customer service the business unit and the customer to deliver sales operations and logistics excellence.
Essential Duties include planning forecasting and achieving high volume annual growth quotas; managing weekly monthly quarterly and annual business reviews to the customer and Tyson; special project planning and execution; Deduction resolution and reduction; weekly sales reports; planning and managing annual promotional spending calendar; track and report competitive activities; conduct price and volume contract negotiations; collaborate with production and production planning to optimize production flow and efficiencies; collaborate with various internal TEAMS to create winning business propositions that benefit Tyson and the customer; working with the CSA TEAM to manage and improve customer service; live out the Tyson Customer Promise core values and RIGHT Behaviors daily.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
Experience: 7 plus years of experience- fresh chicken sales experience preferred. 2 plus years sales experience in Retail channel and or 2 plus years National Accounts Direct Sales Experience
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills; public speaking and presentation skills.
Supervisory: This position will have no direct reports
Travel: 12 plus domestic trips per year.

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
