Summary:

The Sales Planning Manager is responsible for assisting with sales activation activities, execution of the business unit's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the team’s attainment of Poultry business goals. This role will work with the other SS&P and Sales team members to ensure that the customer voice is embedded in internal decisions. They will provide analysis/insights on category initiatives, volume and share trends, and be a part of the S&OP demand process. The ideal candidate will be able to use data to assist in the development of category, channel and business driving programs and innovation strategies. This role will work with Sales team members to enhance CRM integrity, and provide reporting to measure CRM activities and field compliance. This position will report to the Director, Poultry Foodservice SS&P.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be the voice for the field teams, customer & internal business partners

• Collaborate with field sales to assist in strategy execution and goal attainment

• Assist with strategy development and executional sales elements of the Foodservice Poultry brands/categories throughout the planning process

• Participate in sales planning process for Poultry Sales/BU and assist with product allocation data when necessary

• Make recommendations on key inputs included in the S&OP process by providing customer/category intelligence

• Provide inputs for consideration in the demand and financial forecast processes

• Create and provide reporting to monitor Foodservice Poultry AOP performance for Poultry Business Unit

• Utilize, develop and refine reporting to measure KPI goals by product level and track sales performance

• Create and provide post-initiative recaps to SS&P leadership

• Coordinate and communicate relevant information used for forecasting and deploying inventory to supply planning partners

• Manages ad-hoc SS&P Director and Sr. Manager requests

• Values, establishes, nurtures and maintains productive working relationships with internal stakeholders

• Key interactions include SS&P Director and team-members; Sr. Managers & Managers from BU’s, Sales, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Revenue Management, and Customer Development

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in customer trade marketing, sales, marketing, sales analytics, revenue management or category management is preferred. Demonstrated financial acumen, with joint growth planning experience a plus; Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence cross-functional team members

• Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills; Strong influencing and negotiating skills. Strong ability to articulate complex information in a concise manner and with proper context

• Computer Skills: Intermediate-Advanced level for MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams; prior experience with Tyson CRM preferred

• Special Skills: Excellent planning and project management skills; Strong Excel and data manipulation skills; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Business acumen and ownership, Communication

• Travel: Some travel is required, up to 10% of time
