Job Description Summary
This role is a key member of the Foodservice Sales Team, helping develop and execute sales strategies to deliver fiscal year plan/AOP. This position will be responsible for the strategic analysis of the Foodservice business and will help to develop strategy around that analysis. This position will work in conjunction with our cross-functional team including Channel Marketing, Demand Planning, Insights, Sales Development, SS&P, Revenue Management, and Business Unit partners in the development and execution of sales go to market initiatives and overall strategies. This position will provide data, insights, and knowledge to make recommendations regarding sales strategies and customer initiatives, and will be required to be fully entrenched in the Foodservice sales team. In addition, this position will help to develop and engage accountability parameters and execution for the Foodservice sales team.
The following job duties are required, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide sales with analytics on a regular basis with respect to AOP, regional share data, customer data, product mix, customer mix, and volume trends.
- Provide insights on forecast adjustments from sales intel, opportunity pipeline evaluation and volume trend analysis. Collaborate with demand planning on monthly forecast reviews and adjustments.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a monthly sales volume estimate for the year.
- Lead the AOP process for Foodservice Sales, as well as regular monitoring, reporting, and gapping analysis.
- Act as second level of accountability for CRM to the sales team.
- Provide customer data and analysis for sales team and for customers as requested.
- Provide analysis and budgeting of T&E, MDF and cost center spending.
- Incorporate the use of Power BI, Tibersoft, and CRM to increase efficiency and drive sales opportunities while saving time for the sales team.
- Provide leadership with analysis on the business, organizational aspects, customer initiatives, and management of funds.
- Interact with VP, Sr Directors, DOS’s, and all field sales to gain understanding of the business needs and provide recommendations.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SAP, Tibersoft, CRM.
- Must be able to pull in various outside data sets to incorporate into internal analysis.
- Must have a very polished, professional presence and be able to present to internal and external senior leaders.
- Must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to explain complex ideas/information in a concise, simplified manner.
- Must have experience with demand forecasting.
- Position requires a basic understanding of Foodservice.
- 5% travel may be required.
- Position is located at Tyson World Headquarters in Springdale, AR.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Special Skills: Ability to build and execute strategic plans, align resources to achieve goals, work autonomously to drive cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, changing environment. Key interactions include: Field Sales, SS&P, Business Unit leadership, Demand & Supply Planning, Revenue Management, Sales Finance, Channel Marketing.
