Summary:

This position is located in New York and the selected candidate will need to reside in this state.

As a contributing team member, the Sales Account Manager will report directly to a Team Lead. The position will have regular interactions with the Team Lead and other regional sales managers while focused on cultivating relationships with assigned K-12 accounts. This person will be accountable for building relationships selling new items, negotiating contracts, and prioritizing efforts against plan. This position is expected to work cross-functionally with various cross-functional departments to build new business and protect the core business, by creating a competitive advantage while attaining mix and volume targets within our value-added product tiers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and nurture professional relationships with assigned K-12 accounts in the market to achieve business objectives. Gather and maintain key insight for all assigned accounts, including the size of business product opportunities, competitive set timing and potential hurdles. Track progress using the tools provided reporting status so all applicable parties are aware. Manage all strategic initiatives. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver against sales plans by managing customer presentations, expense management and bid execution. Provide sales support at customer events. This may include but is not limited to: product sampling and presenting key features and benefits. Must be able to deliver against your volume goals and executive bid strategies within the market to manage spend associated with the volume and manage the mix of products sold.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 5 years outside sales experience Food Service Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, understanding of conflict resolution.

Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products

Travel: 30 - 50

$83,000.00 - $173,000.00

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
