Job Details:
The Director of IT Architecture develops and manages the technology architecture practice for the organization and guides the technology roadmap for Tyson Foods. The role is responsible for driving business capability roadmaps, technology platform roadmaps, and maturing the IT architecture practice to create business value, sustainable technology tools and patterns, and improve total cost of ownership of the technology portfolio.
The leader is expected to balance business requirements with IT strategy, apply architectural frameworks to create sustainable technology strategies, communicate technology strategy to business and IT leaders, and influence the IT organization to follow sustainable IT processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, safeguarding the organization's IT practices and data security.
Long-Term IT Strategy: Partner with IT leaders and influence the long-term IT strategy, ensuring it is aligned with organizational objectives and drives business growth.
Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop the architecture practice for the IT organization, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
IT Operations Oversight: Influence IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, security, and support, ensuring performance and scalability.
Collaboration with business and IT leaders: Collaborate with leaders to drive digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demands.
Team Member Support and Empowerment: Actively support team members by identifying and creating opportunities for skill development, cross-functional exposure, and career advancement, ensuring their success and alignment with organizational goals.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage the IT budget and resource allocation across the department, optimizing cost efficiency and project outcomes.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned, which align with our organization's vision, mission, and values, and fall within your scope of practice.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's, Master’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a significant amount of relevant experience.
Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.

Advanced Financial Analysis: Conduct advanced financial analysis to guide budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, optimizing financial performance.
Policy Development: Develop and implement architecture policies that promote best practices and operational efficiency across the organization.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Exemplify exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, strategically addressing multifaceted challenges and making high-stakes decisions confidently. Resolve the majority of issues independently, collaborating with executive leadership primarily on problems affecting multiple departments or overall business strategy.
Vendor and Partner Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key vendors and partners, ensuring strategic alignment and optimal service delivery.
Experience building or leading a Enterprise Architecture practice
Experience with architecture frameworks and using them to influence the architecture practice. Specifically, TOGAF experience is a plus
Experience leading enterprise platforms and developing platform architecture
Experience with all enterprise architecture perspectives (enterprise, data, technology, and solution)
