Job Details:

Schedule: Wednesday through Friday and every other weekend

Hours: 4:00 P.M. - 4:00 A.M.

Pay - determined by skill level

Job Description:

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

  • Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.

  • Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.

  • Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.

  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.

  • Complete appropriate paperwork and reports

  • Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.

  • Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.

  • Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.

  • Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision

  • Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.

  • The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.

  • Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70 lbs.

Requirements:

  • Maintenance experience of 6 months or currently enrolled at an industrial maintenance program, or one year of classroom training from a technical college. (food industry preferred) Maintenance will be considered work in mechanic, fabricator, electrician, or plant maintenance.
