Senior Analyst Trade Applications
Job Summary:
Responsible for user support of all Trade Applications within the Commercial Organization such as APEX and Forge. This includes being the primary point of contact for end users and for the technical team regarding the use of the Retail TPM application. Supports users of trade systems by responding to questions with the intent to teach and build a better user community. Supports the Trade Systems Manager, as the liaison with IS, to test enhancement work and ensure the Trade applications meet the business user requirements. Maintains cross-functional partnerships/constituents that include IS business analysts and developers, financial analysts, TPMs, and CDMs. Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the Trade business processes, including existing processes, functionality, and datasets. Evaluates complexity of issues and escalate issues to manager or IT as required. Executes UAT testing to meet business requirements of Trade applications and tools. Understands the sales organization to be able to manage authority within the trade applications. Assists in ensuring trade applications are at a ‘ready-state' to support fiscal year sales planning activity. Leads Super User meetings to elevate the expertise of the trade Super User program. Provides reporting and analysis for the field to allow them to evaluate the efficient and effective use of Trade systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Manages APEX Application support processes and supports Retail users in Forge. Primary contact to retail trade stakeholders for Apex and Forge application support. Provides business process input to technical team as issues are resolved. Conducts testing and validation for resolution of technical issues. Provides guidance to system users and Data Quality/Master Data regarding impacts to retail trade system of potential master data changes. Advises teams on implications of proposed Sales Org, Customer Hierarchy, and Material Hierarchy changes. Communicates to retail trade system users regarding issues and resolution of issues. Coordinates with Master Data / Data Quality for gathering requested master data changes associated with preparing for annual planning (customer/product changes) Coordinates any necessary year-end cutover business-related tasks. Works with Trade Controller, Master Data, Shared Services to manage changes and timing. Coordinates downtime with technical team. Works with Training Team to identify any changes needed to data in the Training (TRN) environment. Works with technical team to ensure TRN environment is ready for training each year. Communicates System process changes to impacted users. Works with TPM community and Reporting & Analytics team to define standard reports and revise as business resources and requirements change. Facilitates regular Super User meetings.
Deliverables include:
- Projects delivered on-time, on-budget, meeting business requirements.
- Undeveloped applications receive elevated support driving to mature and stable applications for our sales teams.
- Mastery of internal and external business trade planning process.
- Documentation of application enhancement needs.
- Investigate and pilot new technology solutions driving a competitive advantage for the Tyson Commercial Sales Team.
- Trusted business partnership with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and IT constituents.
- Trade analytics reporting and governance
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years CPG experience OR combined BS and 2-3 years CPG experience
- Exposure to CPG sales team support/connectivity
- Working knowledge of customer and Tyson business financial drivers, practices, and policies
- Experience with Retail Trade applications and broad exposure to reporting tools preferred
- Intermediate level skills in building out actionable insights
- Ability to validate data and form testing plans to ensure data integrity
- Intermediate exposure to SAP OR similar ERP
- Strong communication skills
- Technical/IT experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence and impact
- Ability to manage cross functional projects
- Ability to understand new business processes and strategies
- Appetite for learning and supporting new technology solutions
1-2 trips per year
