SUMMARY:
This position is directly responsible for managing the sales positioning and value-added product development of Fresh Meats Pork products. This includes coordinating sales efforts for these items within the Tyson sales network of Central Sales East to maximize overall product value for the Fresh Meats Group. The position requires interaction on a daily basis with Plant Operations, Scheduling, Logistics, Claims, Credit, and other internal support groups along with an established external customer base. Maximized sales realizations, optimal inventory position management, value-added product development, new customer development, and exemplary customer service are primary drivers for this area.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 plus years of experience preferred, or equivalent combination of both.

• Experience:

  • Experience in meat or like commodity sales and/or protein supply chain management preferred.

• Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint a plus.

• Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.

• Special Skills:

  • Creative problem-solving skills are a plus; excellent customer interaction skills, goal-oriented, overall positive and productive approach, team player, and results-driven.
