Summary:

The UX@Tyson team is currently looking for a talented Designer to join our team at our Northwest Arkansas office. We are seeking an individual who is not only creative but also has a strong track record of successfully applying research and design principles to develop innovative Technology solutions. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.

Key Focus:

  • Conducting research and providing insights.

  • Designing new critical technology solutions.

  • Collaborate and build relationships with team members (Development, UX Designers, & Product Management) to design quality products/applications.

  • Driving adherence to design standards.

Team:

The UX@Tyson team focuses on improving lives and experiences through a human-centered approach. As a Designer, you'll use design thinking and research to create technology solutions for various users across Tyson. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of Researchers and Designers and influence the strategic direction of a large global organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process from concept to final implementation, ensuring a seamless and user-centric approach.

  • Conduct user research, including interviews, workshops, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design decisions.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups communicating design ideas and interactions.

  • Develop and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other UX documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into compelling user experiences.

  • Advocate for the end user, ensuring their needs and feedback are incorporated into the design process.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our UX processes.

  • Mentor and guide junior UX designers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale and trade-offs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or Graphic Design with 4+ years of experience. Related field with 5+ years of experience or User Experience Certification with 6+ years of experience may be acceptable.

  • Must provide a link to your portfolio featuring UX-focused work samples demonstrating design concepts for solutions.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred tool), Framer, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar.

  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.

  • Experience with user research methods, usability testing, and data analysis.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to various stakeholders.

  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with Design Thinking and running workshops a plus.

Job Requirements:

  • Location: Springdale, AR, Tyson Emma Office. This position requires working in the office 5 days a week.

  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
