Job Details:

Job Purpose/Summary: The Assistant Chief Pilot will assist the Chief Pilots in maintaining the professional standards of Tyson Foods, Inc. flight operations through flight observations and SOP training. This position will provide leadership and direction to company pilots, while serving as a full-time flight crew member. This role will also oversee the internship program for the aviation department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Specific duties of this role will be to oversee standardization, which includes flight observations and ensuring proper standard operating procedures set forth by the flight operations manual. The Assistant Chief Pilot has full authority and responsibility for the safe operation of company aircraft on all assigned flights, both domestic and international, and will remain informed of the latest developments within the aviation industry that may affect Tyson Foods, Inc. flight operations. In addition to the above duties, the Assistant Chief Pilot must be highly knowledgeable of the content of the flight operations manual, training manuals, standard operating procedures, and the provisions of the federal aviation regulations and standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Requirements:

• Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with special knowledge and/or training in the aviation field. Must have a first class medical certificate, restricted radiotelephone operator permit, and U.S. Passport.
• Experience: 5+ years’ experience as a captain in corporate flight operations, with a minimum 6+ months international operating experience preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Special Skills: ATP certificate and holds a type rating in at least one of the types of aircraft operated (Falcon 2000 EASy, Gulfstream G500, or Global 7500).
• Travel: This position will require extensive travel.
