SUMMARY: The R&D Spec Adherence Specialist will be responsible for effectively and accurately assisting Business Unit management, R&D technologists and FSQA personnel in creating required components for effective evaluation of Tyson Foods flagship products. The R D Spec Adherence Specialist will also have responsibility for accurately guiding Business Operations and Food Safety and Quality Assurance in regulatory endeavors and critical compliance situations. The R D Spec Adherence Specialist collaborates with FSQA to secure targeted products, collect data points, analyze samples, and execute a sensory evaluation. This role will actively pursue initiatives to mitigate high-risk consumer claims. The individual in this role must effectively manage the interface of legacy systems to quickly respond to system errors. The R D Spec Adherence Specialist must have the ability to work quickly and against timelines that involve several cross functional team members and executive level decision makers. The ideal candidate would have great attention to detail, work well with little guidance, can process data and present findings.
REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience with FSQA roles is a plus. Proficient algebraic knowledge to complete documentation for regulatory compliance and provide necessary guidance for packaging claims. Organization of critical data through specific Product Data Management PDM workflows critical thinking around formulations and product processing requirements is necessary to ensure operational and regulatory compliances are met. Demonstrates effectiveness in providing regulatory guidance that will lead to opportunities in innovation growth and profitability.
EDUCATION: Requires broad knowledge in a p articular field normally acquired through two years of college or vocational or technical school training resulting in an Associate degree or equivalent. Preferred Bachelors or Masters; Business; Science; Education.
EXPERIENCE: 3 plus years work experience in Research Development or Food Safety Quality Assurance or a Bachelor s Degree in related science area of study.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires intermediate ability knowledge in Excel SAP and web-based discipline specific systems.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate with functional and business unit management.
SPECIAL SKILLS if applicable: Critical thinking and problem solving skills required. Strong time-management and organizational skills needed.

TRAVEL: 3 plus Trips Per Year
