Job Details:

Professional pilot internship in which intern will aid and observe the daily operation of a FAR part 91 flight department.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • To keep a daily log of job task, experience gained, and work related items.

  • A technical development project that will be presented to the aviation department

  • Assist flight crews (Intern will be an active crewmember assisting on the jumpseat)

  • Assist maintenance crew

  • Assist dispatcher and scheduler

  • Assist safety and security officers

  • Assist training officer

  • Observe management

  • Attend Company internship orientation

  • Option to visit a Tyson plant

  • Option to attend company enrichment courses

  • AircareFacts crew emergency training

  • Flight safety international flight simulation training

  • Possibly visit an altitude chamber in OKC

  • Learn about our Safety Management Systems

  • Learn the Falcon 2000 EASY systems and operating techniques

INTERACTIONS:
The intern will work alongside everyone in the aviation department.


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and five (5) year and pre-employment drug screen

  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986

  • Aviation Student

  • US Passport Preferred


EDUCATION:

  • Attending an accredited aviation university in an Aviation Program

  • Must have at least a 2.00 GPA or higher

EXPERIENCE:

  • Aviation student

  • Basic Computer Skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequent travel required. Time will be spent between the office and aircraft. Potential for one trip outside the United States if you have your passport.
Dress code is business casual while working at XNA. On trips, men must wear a tie and women must wear a blouse with collar.

LOCATION: Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA)

PAY TYPE: Varies on year in school

REPORTS TO: Internship Coordinator

FULL TIME/PART TIME: Temporary employee (8 weeks set between June and August)
