DUTIES:

Serve as a business partner on data modelling in our commercial data strategy initiative. Help create the requirements for how we use and expose data insights to hundreds of Tyson employees and have a direct impact on accelerating our time to sale. Work with IT to implement requirements into data models. Build visualizations in Power BI or a similar tool and help analytic team members build visualizations that help our business partners and leaders digest results and diagnose and resolve issues with speed and precision. Thoroughly document and ensure others on the team are documenting KPIs, calculations, models, etc. Ensure information can pass freely to users of any experience level. Work on aiding Tyson Commercial sales in becoming more predictive and prescriptive in nature by enabling analytics for the basics and then moving to more predictive models. Foster relationships across Sales Analysts to understand their needs and cross-functionally with internal teams (Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) to coordinate data and metrics. Re-design our current analytics delivery/user models to better meet the company's expectations and growth and work with IT to build and enhance business intelligence tools. Enhance the team’s agility in accessing all data sets. Leverage best practices in analytics to glean insights. Collaborate with IT and the business to deliver information and insights to improve customer experience through data and analytics. Assist the training teams in development of change management and training materials to drive analytics usage.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), Business Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field, and four years of experience in business analytics or related. In the alternative the position will accept a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), Business Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field, and three years of experience in business analytics or related.

Must also have experience with:

  • Writing SQL code to explore and transform large data sets into information that informs the design of production items by business partners;
  • Applying ETL processes to fully automated data interfaces with source systems and a central, enterprise Analytics ecosystem (GCP);
  • 3 years leading business requirement elicitation for Sales, Distribution, and Supply Chain teams in an agile project from inception through delivery;
  • 2 years implementing Agile methodology in data analytics projects;
  • 3 years of experience with data validation for all the user stories in several JIRA sprints using advanced Excel formulas, Pivot table, and Power Pivot functions to boost productivity and health of projects;
  • 3 years driving report automation through Power Query to import data in Excel and Power BI to automatically refresh data at regular intervals;
  • Collecting data from Brainshark and ExecOnline databases to create combined datasets, perform detailed exploratory data analysis, and prepare business reports of insights with visualizations to execute automatic refresh using Power Automate; and
  • Working on two or more Agile projects each with multiple sprint cycles dedicated towards implementing Postgres query language in PostgreSQL server using pgAdmin such as Sequel Pro, Navicat or MySQL for creating a new database using advanced functions and operators to manipulate schema and data.

SALARY: $111,530.00 to $150,000.00 per year
