Job Details:

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead and direct a team of cross-functional managers and individual contributors in the planning and execution of integration, acquisition, and divestiture activities of the business processes and systems tools related to Distribution for Tyson Foods.

The director will:

• Plan, coordinate, direct, and design operational activities of the functional teams as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission critical business operations
• Work closely with both business technology groups and upper management to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective solutions for all aspects of the organization
• Meet and align expectations with buyer seller on support needs and provide feedback in the contract negotiations.

This position requires a high degree of confidentially. The role is a key business point person for Distribution mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture activities.

• The role must build relationships with key internal and external customers to drive business and financial goals; and educate and train the internal and external impacted team members on core business fundamentals that help the Tyson organization meet its stated business and financial goals.
• The role requires the individual to be able to multitask successfully. The role may require managing any number of acquisitions, divestitures, and projects simultaneously. This role requires a very high degree of broad operational knowledge of business processes, order to cash, purchase to pay, master data sales, supply chain distribution, Finance, Accounting and I.T. functions across all disciplines including applications and infrastructure.
• This role requires a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively present to large groups.
• Additionally the individual must be able to convey convincing arguments across a number of business and I.T. disciplines.
• The role will direct and plan communications with internal and external customers on the up-coming projects; performing all front-end planning required to identify document and support effective project execution; analyzing existing enterprise processes systems and developing and implementing ways to improve and or transition the functional areas to meet business objectives
• Providing support for internal and external customers for requests on master data reporting and other information;
• Developing process flow diagrams and key performance indicators that can be used to measure the success of the process
• Providing input and feedback in contract negotiations to meet the goals of Tyson Foods.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:10 years related experience. Spec management operations and P L responsibility helpful.

• Previous Supervisory experience required; Previous Mergers and Acquisitions experience in some role preferred; High degree of personal presentation skills required; Previous successful experience managing multiple complex projects required.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Special Skills: High degree of project management experience required. Supervisory: May be responsible for supervision for other team members. Travel:6-11 domestic trips per year.
