SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining internal reports using Microsoft Office applications; creating ad hoc reports; running errands for the department - making copies, filing, etc; pulling invoices and other pertinent data for non-income tax purposes; and any other project needs of the non-income tax team. Based on initiative this position offers the potential for exposure to accounting systems, sales analysis, and a financial perspective; customer service; large corporate environment; business planning; and enhancement of computer skills. Please Note: This role is a year-round opportunity that requires the selected candidate to work 15 – 20 hours per week during the school year, and as many as 40 hours per week during the summer. This role also requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods’ Springdale, AR World Headquarters.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Finance or Accounting major preferred. Junior or senior classification is preferred; senior classification with intent to immediately pursue grad school is also acceptable. Future incumbent must maintain their status as a student for the entire term of the internship.
EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience in any field.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong written and verbal skills
TRAVEL: None
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be a self-starter who possesses the ability to manage their time and work both independently and in teams.
POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: This internship is a year-round role where candidates are expected to work part-time (20 hours/week) during the school year and full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer. This is a year-round paid internship located at our Springdale, Arkansas World Headquarters.
